Adieu to April: Poem by Alok Mishra

Adieu to April

Adieu, ‘the cruellest month’
Adieu to thy sorrow, pain
And the burden.

Thou, with all your effort,
Thou hast been toiling
Thy month long tenure.

Lifelong is the tedium!
Lo, the April is dead!
Live the groove and pass away!

‘Wretched, fool, o the bald giant
‘Thy sorrows are thine with all means.’

The melancholy shore roars.
Thirsty Ocean countersigns the echo.
‘Throw away the dead.’
